Robots are Cool !

This cool little baby single has my latest invention ... an uber-cool robot! This is painted onto the singlet using Semco Dimensional Paint (Black Gloss). That's not all, though ... this robot is destined for several 'looks', including bright shiny silver and rusty metal, on a variety of surfaces :)

Teddy Lamp

I have had this lamp in the cupboard for ages. When I found it I thought it would be fantastic to paint. Time to use up all these bargain buys and clever finds so I can sell up big at my association sale next month!

Lexi's Dragon - Pattern Packet!

This is the first of many pattern packets in my range ... Lexi's Dragon. The dragon was originally commissioned as a gift to match a purple/teal dragon nursery for a little girl call Alexis (hence the name Lexi's Dragon). Techniques include blocking, stippling, wet-on-wet blending, floating shadow & highlight, spatter and liner work. Cost is $9.00 + postage ($1 anywhere in Australia).

The pattern packet has 2 full colour photos, instructions and pattern sheet. Email me if you would like to place an order (dlewis71@aapt.net.au), or you can purchase a pattern at the FDAA's annual sale & display at the Darling Harbour craft show from 11-15 June.

Not Tink, but better!

So ... the Tinkerbell skirt fell through for publication. Semco has the licence, but not the magazine. Instead they called for a different fairy, and after a very late night and a full day's painting she's ready to go in the post.

Watch out for her in HandMade magazine ... you can paint her yourself, as I've provided the pattern and instructions. Enjoy!

B is for Baby - new bear pattern

This is a design I've been working on for Semco to turn into a cross-stitch kit. It will be in pink and blue (the blue nappy pin has a star ... very cute!), and still needs a little tweaking. This one was done on a paper mache box, and I've stenciled pink handprints around the sides.

I'll post another pic soon, and if you'd like to find out when pattern packets are available, please leave a comment, and I'll let you know.

Knit ... Purl ... Teddy bear box

One of the highlights of my Mothers Day Sunday was being given time to paint. This is a new design that I created ... I'm in a knitting mood with this chilly weather. This cute little bear is entirely painted with Semco paints, and will be available in a pattern packet very soon.

This little project will be appearing in HandMade magazine (Australia) in August! I will have a pattern packet available for him after publication for anyone who misses the magazine :)

I'm being published!!!

This is what I've been waiting for ... for 10 years. One of the painting projects I created for Semco is being published in an Australian craft magazine!!! I painted this cute denim skirt with a Tinkerbell design (Semco own Disney licenses ... so I have permission to do this). It's just acrylic paint with a good dash of fabric medium, some iron-on diamontes and voila ... a beautiful skirt that is complimented often.

I'll update when I know more details, but for now I'm just doing a happy dance, because there are more opportunities to come with my teddy bear painted designs :D
