New Princesses
I have painted some new princess including a Pink Ribbon, Shopaholic and Lollypop Guild. Unfortunately I can't show pictures because my card reader has died and I can't upload at the moment *pout*. So ... instead I thought I'd show off the cool word art I created at Wordle.com . Stay tuned, because today I sketched out Princess Pointy Shoes Valentine, Gardener and Fairy Princess. I also have PPS bookmarks ready to go in the shop ... when I can upload the photos ;)

Sock Zombie
Is this not the most gorgeous toy ever!!!!???!!! I bought this last week from Underroos on Etsy to distract her from her wedding 'issues'. Sock Zombies are one of the first things I found when I first discovered Etsy, and I have been secretly longing for one of these guys for the last year. Now I have one, and he's guarding my computer ... just waiting for some unsuspecting perp to come along so he can have their brains for dinner *mwaahahahahahaaaa*.

Stunning Stationery
I found this wonderful new Etsian by using the Pounce feature on Etsy. Her gorgeous little stationery items really caught my eye, as they have very funky graphics and can be fully personalised. Cool! I really love the chandaleir design as well.

Free Bit of Whimsy Pattern
Anyone who listens to me talk about dolls long enough will know that I'm a big fan of Bit of Whimsy Dolls. Sarah creates the most incredible patterns, with instructions that even an absolute beginner would find unintimidating. I have a fair size pattern collection, and now you can try one for yourself. Sarah has listed the Sammy Squid pattern for free at her Artfire shop ... go check it out, and try making a squid yourself.

Super Cool Jewellery!
Have you ever seen earrings so delicious??? I happened across this gorgeous Etsian today in the forums, and just had to share the love on my blog. Hot pink and gunmetal ... and that's just the start of it. There are earrings and bracelets and necklaces that are enough to make you want to do over your entire wardrobe and centre your look around this amazing jewellery!

A Pointy Shoe Christmas!
I know this one still needs a little something ... I'm thinking a sprig of holly on her crown with tendrils might do the trick, or a star on the tree. I can't decide! Yes ... I probably should have given her a red crown with a fluffy base, but I chickened out at the last minute LOL. Next time!
Stay tuned to see a real live Princess Pointy Shoes doll! She's constructed, painted and dressed, just needs to be accessorised! I couldn't possibly do it this morning though ... my sister has bought me a fabulous beauty spa session and I'll be far too busy being buffed and polished ;) *hee hee*.

I don't think I can stop!
I seem to finally have found my stride! Princess Pointy Shoes Hippy Chick was finished today. I also bit the bullet and made a file to take to my local printers. The prints came out a bit darker and flatter than I'd hoped for, but it may be my screen, so I'm going to experiment a bit and see how it goes. If I'm going to do prints, I want them to be good quality.

Loving Princess Pointy Shoes!
It's like this sassy gal has been in my head all my life and I'm so excited to get her painted, dressed up in fabulous outfits and awesome pointy shoes. I'm going to get these girls ready to go to print, and test out the local print-shop to see if their quality is any good. Look for greeting cards, ACEO's and prints to frame really soon :D

Princess Pointy Shoes
... for want of a better name, that's what I'm calling her today! This is my first foray into 'mixed media' with her little paper crown. I used all Semco paints, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. My mind is running with ideas of painting surfaces and hubby wants me to turn her into a print.
Lucky for me, tomorrow I will be surrounded by awesome painters and art/craft supplies galore at CraftFest at Sydney's Olympic Park. If you're going to be there, come by the FDAA Paint by Numbers and say hi!

Writing competition
My girls are really excited about a new Australian Girl doll competition. They're both starting to create their stories, and I'll help princess #2 to jot her story down. If you have a girl who loves her Australian Girl doll, and she's under 16, go visit the website and she can enter the competition too. The prize is $100 to spend in the online store! Cool!

Kokeshi on Denim
Just finished last night, and freshly listed in my Etsy shop, is this girls denim pinafore painted with one of my original kokeshi doll designs. The pinafore is a girls size 12, and is pre-loved or upcycled (depending which term is trendier). I was given this dress by a friend, and put it in the 'to be painted basket'. Now that I've had my #1 princess model it for me I am hearing mutterings along the lines of "if it doesn't sell I'm having it" coming from up the hall.
I'd be happy to paint a kokeshi doll for you, and if you have a piece of clothing you'd like it painted on, then I can do that too! Any colour you like. Email me at dlewis71@aapt.net.au or you can convo me via Etsy if you prefer.
